The successful candidate will work on complex accounting matters within a group and project-driven environment, contributing to accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, and informed decision‑making. This position is ideal for a highly experienced accounting professional who enjoys solving technically challenging issues and supporting business-critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support group consolidation activities, including preparation and review of consolidation entries and intra-group eliminations.Apply strong technical judgment in exploration and development block accounting, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.Account for joint ventures and associates, including equity accounting, impairment assessments, and related disclosures.Manage accounting for decommissioning and asset retirement obligations, including initial recognition, periodic remeasurement, and unwinding of discount.Oversee and advise on lease accounting under IFRS (IFRS 16), including identification, measurement, reassessments, and disclosures.Prepare or review complex accounting papers, position memos, and supporting documentation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and project teams to resolve technical accounting matters efficiently and accurately.Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS requirements. Skills and Attributes for Success: Strong working knowledge of complex IFRS accounting areas, particularly consolidation, joint arrangements, asset retirement obligations, and leases.
