About the role

Overview OWIS Riyadh is seeking a dedicated and experienced PYP Arabic B Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in Arabic as a second language, in alignment with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework and the school’s academic standards. Job PurposeTo teach Arabic B (as a second language) to Primary Years students, supporting language acquisition through engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences while fostering cultural awareness and communication skills. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging Arabic B lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum and learning standards. Develop students’ Arabic language acquisition skills, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, and basic grammar. Support non-native speakers in building confidence and fluency in Arabic communication. Integrate inquiry-based learning approaches in line with the IB PYP philosophy. Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance student engagement. Assess, record, and monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback. Prepare and administer assessments and assignments in line with school policies. Communicate regularly with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and when required regarding student progress. Collaborate with homeroom teachers and contribute to unit planning and curriculum development. Participate in school activities, events, and professional development initiatives. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, or any related field. Teaching qualification or education diploma (as required by MOE regulations). Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Arabic B / second language instruction. Strong proficiency in Arabic and good communication skills in English. Experience with the IB PYP framework or an international school environment is preferred.
